"Ordinary people think that they do something wrong, only the one who initiated it is responsible. Actually, the person who allows it to start is also responsible. Though the person who allows it may say, "He started it, I just joined in." it is not like this. Discussion: Tzu Chi Volunteers are to mindfully and gently correct other volunteers when the conditions and causes are right. Is this a DUTY as a Certified Volunteer...? How would you approach this given the above?
"Blessings follow good; disasters follow evil. Disasters and blessings are like shadows or echoes. Can one avoid a shadow while walking, or shut off the sound of the wind hitting the mountain?" If we truly take this to heart, with all of our efforts at every moment: What can this do for us?

The above statement is something that we must truly take to heart and live out as Certified Volunteers. There is no gray area. This understanding is a very common one among the world's major religions and is essential to life as a Certified Volunteer in following Master.
